This 1-day class is for people without previous burn experience or who want a refresher. The training will follow the guidelines of the Wisconsin Prescribed Fire Council. Class is 9:00 - about 4:30

Successful participation in this training, plus helping on two TPE burns as an apprentice, provides qualifications to be a new crew member on TPE burns. The Glacial Prairie Chapter will keep a registry. Class taught by: Scott Fulton and Rob Baller. No fee this year - donations gratefully accepted. lunch will be provided (with vegetarian option): Coffee and water provided Most of the day will be inside and consist of lecture with slides. We will try on/ try out burn equipment outdoors. * There will be the opportunity to burn a small prairie at the field station weather permitting. Sample of topics addressed: Why burn?
